OOTD#9 From Paris With Love

Hi, I’m back! I’ve been on hiatus from blogging and it took me a month and half to actually write again. I won’t delve on the details but all I can say is, I was all because of work. I missed my blog 😦 I missed writing. And most of all I missed new friends (fellow bloggers, readers, drifters) I met here on the net. But now I’m back, I’m so excited to write again!

On to my Outfit of the Day. My look is Parisian-inspired.

I am a huge lover of anything French. From the movies and books I’ve encountered, I do believe there is something romantic about Paris. I am at awe on how rich French culture is: food, places, films, music and fashion. France is on top of my “places-to-visit” list.

Wearing simple pieces helped channeling my inner Parisian chic. ❤

Where I wore this? On a night out with new friends. 🙂

These girls are so much fun to hang out with. We lived together for a month and I guess we clicked because of similar interests and personality. Plus, they are all nice!

Thanks to this sweet girl who shot most of my ootd pictures. Hi Jham! Mwaaah :*

That’s all and see you on my next post! Au revoir, mon ami!

Words To Live By

I haven’t been posting quite recently. I’m currently a part time student for now and have been dealing with some stuff going on with my life. But there is never a single day I don’t think about my blog and the people who supports it. So here’s some great words that could inspire your day. Take care 🙂

LOTD: Bronze Eye it out!

source: hawtcelebs.com

Hey ladies!

I saw a gorgeous image of Emily Blunt’s makeup look during the 2012 Gotham Awards. She was sporting a bronze eye makeup, a subtle color on the cheeks and nude lips. She looks like a goddess with that golden hair, classy modern dress and simple accessories. Isn’t she lovely? I simply love her!

I attempted to create my own version of the eye makeup inspired by Emily Blunt’s.

Snapshot of my eye makeup look, nothing too complicated cause I’m still learning how to do my own makeup 😀

amakeup products used

First, I applied primer onto my lids. Then after applying primer, I took a bronze eye pencil, spreading it gently all over my lids. I like this eye pencil because it’s creamy and doesn’t fade for a long time. Using an ivory colored eyeshadow, I dabbed it on the center of my lids also at the inner corner of my eyes, near my bottom water line and the brow bone for a brightening effect. Then I lined my eyes and added two coats of mascara. For the face, I just put on my usual everyday makeup products and swapped blush for contour. Finally, instead of Emily’s pretty nude lips, I opted a fancy red lippie.

Well, the finished look is nowhere near what Emily Blunt was wearing. I still have a lot of makeup learning to do! But then again, this was a ‘makeup inspired’ anyway. Plus, I had fun with playing around with makeup!!!

Practice, practice, practice!

Products used:
On my face: San San Matte Finish Liquid Foundation in 02, IN2IT 2-way cake Foundation, Nichido Powder Blush in Cool Rum
Eyes: ELF Eyelid Primer, Nichido Eye Pencil in Bronze Glow, Nichido single eyeshadow in Sea Shell, San San Waterproof Eyeliner Pen, Estee Lauder Sumptuous Bold Volume Lifting Mascara
Brows: Nichido Eye Pencil in Bronze Glow, Nichido clear mascara
Lips: Lip balm, Estee Lauder Artist’s Lip Pencil in 08 Spice Writer, IN2IT Moisture Release Lipstick in 08 Flamingo

What do you think about Emily Blunt’s bronze goddess makeup look? Shout out to those who dare try this look!

LOTD: Jason Wu Spring ’13 RTW Makeup Inspired Look

I was watching FashionTV the other day and saw Jason Wu S/S 2013 RTW runway show. He’s one of my favorite fashion designer and popular for creating fabulous dresses. His clothes have been worn by A-List celebrities like Blake Lively, Reese Witherspoon, Chloe Moretz, Emma Stone and (don’t forget the America’s darling first Lady) Michelle Obama. I’m a fan of his creations especially his RTWs (ready-to-wear) which are stylish and feminine.

But this time, what I really liked or caught my eye was the makeup look by MAC.

About my Blog

I thought about starting a blog a couple of months ago but I only got the courage to actually pursue it recently. Writing has always been a hobby of mine but never been indulged. I always have an overactive imagination so sometimes when time permits I write stories. However, those stories were left unfinished and never been shown to others so I gave up writing few years ago. Instead, I started reading blogs about fashion. Then I realized that I’m not only interested in fashion but also in makeup, arts, architecture, designs, photography, history, literature, foods & lifestyle, personal blogs and any random stuff. I love reading blogs so much because I get inspired and learned a lot. My passion for writing and reading gave me the thought of starting my own personal blog.

I was having hard time thinking for a right name for my blog. Then I came up with Maybeitsaboutroro since this blog is everything about my loves and interests. And since I have a lot of things to say and I’m such a motor-mouth, I also wanted to write any random things. LOL

Creating this blog has one sole purpose: INSPIRE.

I want to inspire many people like those blogs I followed inspired me. When you inspire people that means they learned something from what you’ve written and that’s an important fact.

And there are also minor reasons why I made this blog.

I want to be comfortable with writing as much as I am with reading.

I want to learn a lot of things.

This blog serves as my personal journal, a safe haven from harsh realities and a legacy of what I’ve been doing with my life.

I’m so excited to meet many people from my blog. I also hope to acquaint myself to others with similar likes and interests as mine.

So my readers and fellow bloggers, be gentle with me okay?
