It’s a quite rainy here in the Philippines for weeks now. It feels good to laze about in morning, on the bed and do nothing. Unfortunately, I’m attending classes so I have no time to be idle at all.
I used to think that whenever the weather is not good you ought to wear dark or dull colors. I think there is no general rule that you can’t wear bright colors or even summer dresses during rainy days. As a matter of fact, wearing bright colors during these days could improve your mood and combat the feeling of the blues and gloom. I spiced up the whole look by wearing bright pink pointed-toe heels (which by the way I am loving at the moment 😀 ). I used to dislike pointed shoes because they pinch my toes and I thought it look funny on my feet. But now I find them adorable!
But of course if it’s cold don’t forget to put on an outerwear item like jackets or coats. I paired this floral dress with a skin-tone cardigan but this would also look good with denim jackets. I love this dress because of the bright colors. Plus the style of the dress, like the cinched waist, square neckline and wide flair skirt, reminds me of the outfits in the movie The Stepford Wives. I love this movie and watched it when I was 13 years old. I just fell in love with the 50s/ 60s style. You can also see this style on the TV Series Mad Men.
It’s actually fun to go against the rules, try and experiment stuff (for me especially with clothes). Cause not only would you look good but you would also feel good 🙂
Have a nice day, you guys 🙂
I’ve always been obsess with monochrome style. I love pairing black to a single color: pastel, neon, white or would mostly go all black. You can see this style anywhere, the runways, streets or on magazines.
A timeless way to style oneself.
It’s always been my style ever since I got into fashion and to tell you the truth, my clothes are mostly black (it’s crazy. teehee 😀 )
I also find matching black to anything easier than the printed ones. Although I’m comfortable with black (or any dark colors), that doesn’t stop me from experimenting with different styles in fashion 🙂
What about you?
What’s your style?
Do you also like to go monochromatic or all black?

I wore a simple floral dress with mustard-yellow heels at a friend’s farewell party. This is my third time to wear floral print (ridiculous right?) because I used to be doubtful/ hesitant of wearing florals and how it might look on me. Probably another reason was cause my mom used to forced me (possibly traumatized too) to wear girly clothes when I was little and I was having none of it. But I was powerless, my mama always win our disputes, she’s definitely a force to be reckoned with 😮
So back to the present, I only own three floral-printed clothes but since I discovered my ‘experimental-side-in-fashion’, I plan to acquire more of it with different styles. I do have my eye on the trending floral pants.
My newfound love: floral prints!
I hung out with my sister today to watch the Man of Steel. I actually wasn’t looking forward for this one and I was telling my lil’ sis to skip this movie and just wait for World War Z to premiere (coz I adore ZOMBIES 😀 & Brad Pitt 😛 ). But she was so adamant to watch Superman. So I went along with her and I must say, I was impressed with the film especially the sfX. I liked it. 🙂
My outfit of this day was an Aztec print top which I love, love, love so much. It’s light, comfy and I adore the Aztec design. I paired it up with my favorite high-waist GUESS jean shorts and simple flats (I can’t find the same brand in Polyvore though). I played around with the outfit by throwing in a funky green belt.
I’m so Aztec-high!
OOTD #2: Sunday’s Best by maybeitsaboutroro
For a Sunday date with my lil’ sister, I wore an aqua green see-through top paired
slim fitted jeans. To accessorize, added a bib chain necklace and wore strappy wedges.
